I had to jot down a few Emma notes before I forgot them. It seems every time I look at my blog I forget what I was going to write about my little Emma GG but this time I caught the thought and held onto it! I was saying previously that I will not correct Emma's pronunciation yet on certain words because it is too cute. I was remembering when she was memorizing Bible verses for Sunday School a while back she kept mispronouncing appearance. She was saying, "...man looks at the outward apperamints but God looks at the heart." Isaac kept trying to correct her but I told him to quit and he wanted to know why. I didn't really have an answer for him just told him to let her say it like that. I asked her yesterday to say that part of the verse and she now says it the normal way. How sad! :(
Emma is also my dessert princess! She only eats lunch and supper so she can have dessert. Our friend Mark and Andrea who come over on occassion for Survivor parties and what not get a kick out of her love of desserts. Mark loves to retell this one: The kids were in the playroom one time watching a movie while we watched the Survivor premiere and Emma came in at least 3 times wondering if she could have dessert yet. All you could see was this little bowl lifted up and this little voice saying, "Ice cream, mommy, ice cream?" On election day, I took the kids with me to vote and I was explaining to them where we were going as they had gone with me in June to vote for the primaries. I told them we were going to the fire station to vote and Emma pipes up, "Oh, and they have cookies there too, mommy!" Yep, they always have cookies and she loves her cookies! We were travelling one time and I was trying to sneakly open a bag of M & M's so I could sneak a few and not share with the kids. (I know bad mama not wanting to share yummy M & M's with my cuties...guess I need a lesson in sharing). All of the sudden I hear Emma, "I smell chocolate Mommy, what are you eating? Is it chocolate?" I had to then share with them both. How can you resist such cuteness! Now you know for yourselves...she is the dessert princess!!
